A reproducible labeling self-check for AI-generated content.
A labeling compliance self-check for AI-generated images, PDFs, video and documents. We apply GB 45438—2025, TC260-PG-202511A and China's Measures for the Labeling of AI-Generated Synthetic Content to produce a five-part judgment and a reproducible evidence package, delivered within 48 business hours per file.
A self-check, not an official determination or legal advice, and not a promise about filing outcomes.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
This is file-level labeling due diligence, not filing agency work and not legal advice. Read the boundaries before ordering.
Relevant if you
- Operate a registered generative AI service and need to verify explicit and implicit labels before launch.
- Build applications on top of image, video, audio or document generation and need file-level label placement confirmed.
- Run a content team that produces assets in batches and needs a reproducible labeling record.
- Prepare filing or client materials and need a self-check report a third party can review.
Not a fit if you need
- Legal advice, compliance certification or an official test report.
- Filing agency work, regulator communication or form completion.
- Visual or audio pixel-level judgment such as on-screen watermarks or audio prompts (requires manual review or OCR).
- Encrypted or DRM-protected files, damaged files, or proprietary containers outside the supported list.
Deliverables
Check report
Conclusion page, item-by-item judgment across five parts, remediation list, content hash and recompute commands, support matrix and disclaimer. Ready to print or archive.
Reproducible evidence
File hashes, container and matched label fields, per-item status and recompute entry points, so a third party can verify without relying on a verbal summary.
Turnaround and recheck
48 business hours after scope and quote confirmation; one free recheck for the same file after remediation or to review a disputed finding.
What the five parts cover
The judgment is split into parts A–E, each with PASS / WARN / FAIL / NA and supporting evidence.
A · Explicit label
Whether a readable “AI-generated” or synthetic-content notice exists in the text, interface or file, and whether its wording and placement meet the requirements.
B · Implicit label fields
Whether metadata carries the seven-field label structure, producer information and reserved fields, and whether keys and values are internally consistent.
C · Security protection data
Whether producer security fields, hash binding and signature material are present and can be tied to the content.
D · Content binding
Whether the label is bound to the file content and remains detectable after content replacement or splicing.
E · Filing materials
Whether explicit samples, implicit samples, content digests and binding records are sufficient for internal archiving or a filing explanation.
Evidence and remediation
Every finding includes an evidence excerpt and a remediation hint; the report ships with commands so the same path can be re-run.
Three free entry points
Confirm the file type and the problem scope before ordering.

The repository CLI reads the file only, makes no network calls, and prints the five-part judgment on your own machine.
python3 scripts/nf_labeling.py check <file>Requires a local clone; the input file is read-only.
Five-minute checklist
- The file type is supported and the file is neither encrypted nor damaged.
- Explicit label: can you find an “AI-generated” notice in the file or interface.
- Implicit fields: does metadata contain an AIGC / Label structure and producer information.
- Binding: record the file hash, generation time and tool version for recomputation.
- Remediation trail: keep both the before and after files plus command output.
Supported formats and known limits
We read container metadata and textual labels; we do not perform pixel-level visual or audio judgment.
| Format | Label carriers read | Known limits |
|---|---|---|
| PNG / JPEG / TIFF / GIF / WebP | tEXt / iTXt / zTXt, APP1 XMP, EXIF, XMP extension blocks | No pixel judgment; multi-page TIFF reads the first page only. |
| MP4 / MP3 / WAV / FLAC | moov.udta.meta / XMP uuid, ID3v2 TXXX, LIST/INFO, VORBIS_COMMENT | Metadata only; frames and audio tracks are not decoded and no perceptual hash is produced. |
| Info dictionary, /Metadata XMP | Unencrypted, common structures only. Encrypted PDFs, object streams (ObjStm) and incremental updates are not supported; non-ASCII text may be garbled. | |
| DOCX / OFD / Markdown | docProps/custom.xml, CustomDatas, header comment block | Label fields only; document facts are not verified. |
| xmind / posm / posf / UOF | metadata.json / meta.json, _meta/meta.xml | Depends on the file's own structure; malformed structures are reported as undetermined. |
| On-screen watermarks, audio prompts, burned-in captions | Not read automatically | Requires manual review or OCR; this service does not issue an official test conclusion. |
Encrypted, DRM-protected or damaged files and containers outside the list are not accepted; the pre-check confirms scope first.
Pricing
Priced per file; scope is confirmed at pre-check. The three options solve different problems and are not repeat purchases of the same work.
Single file
- Five-part judgment (A–E)
- PDF report + evidence.json
- Remediation list and recompute commands
- One free recheck
Three-file pack
- Three files from the same batch
- Separate PDF report and evidence.json per file
- Combined remediation list
- One free recheck for the batch
4-week diagnostic
- One production workflow
- Ten control contracts and FAIL fixtures
- CLI / MCP / CI integration
- Label Check purchase credited CNY 2,999
Label Check and the three-file pack answer “are these files compliant”; the 4-week diagnostic answers “how does the generation process produce compliant files reliably”. The scopes differ. Customers upgrading from Label Check or the three-file pack to the 4-week diagnostic receive a CNY 2,999 credit (once per customer).
